The Balmoral in the Harbour

Welcome to Minehead Harbour

Minehead Harbour is located on the Somerset coast between Porlock Wier and Watchet marina. There has been a Harbour at Minehead since the late 1300's and it is now home to a busy charter boat fleet and has an active leisure boat community. Events on the Harbour include the Minehead Harbour festival in July and the RNLI raft race in August which is the largest of its kind in the country.

Not forgetting the Sailors Hobby Horse which parades the streets of Minehead in early May whose lineage can be traced back to ancient times when as legend has it the “Hoss” was used to deter Norse invaders.  read more..

Lovely, I would advise wearing some tough shoes as most is rocky. Overall great experience.
Much improved Minehead. The area seems to have had an investment in it, so really enjoyed the coastline and the harbour
